Hola i Chau
is an artist duo, from Chile and Argentina, based in Berlin.
Their name is a playful reference to the binary greetings of "Hola" (hi) and "Chau" (bye), which they use to explore the concepts of duality, opposites, and the tension between order and chaos.
They embrace the unexpected, the inconsistencies, and visual discordances as a way to celebrate and honor the process itself which is, for them, as important as the final result. Their work is in a constant state of flux, reinterpreting itself and standing in a place that needs nourishment without the use of words.
In Berlin, the artists have held solo exhibitions such as 'The Remoteness' at Studio Trouble (2024), 'The Stillness of Motion' at Weserhalle Gallery (2019), and “Los Dias Cortos” at Mommsen35 Gallery (2019). They have also participated in group exhibitions such as 'Focus on Abstraction' at Pavillon am Milchhof Berlin (2022) and “Opak” in Vienna, Austria (2021). Additionally, their work has been exhibited internationally in cities such as Istanbul, Brussels, Vienna, and Santiago de Chile.
